I wanted to share this song with you because not only is it one of my favorites, but it also speaks to an issue that occupies my thinking and my artistic efforts.
Lyrically, I wanted to discuss different scenarios of conflict and every verse culminates in the same question as if to say, “haven’t we been here before”? The song’s punchline is one of my strongest yet, if I may say: “next time war is declared, what if no one came…”?
